Main page archive

From 2010.igem.org

The main page of the yearly iGEM wiki is constantly changing. We make an effort to keep all pertinent information easy to access from the main page. Occassionally, though, you may find that a link that you saw before is no longer easy to find. Please use the links below to go back to news feed items that were posted throughout the season. We hope that this will be a valuable information resource for past, current, and future iGEM members.

new award for 2010: the iGEMer’s prize

Image for iGEMers Prize

The iGEMer’s prize is a chance for you, the participants, to have a say in which project you consider to be the ‘best’ at this year’s competition. It is organized by iGEMers, for iGEMers.

In order to make your decision as to which team you think has produced the ‘best project’, you will need to have a look at other teams’ wikis on the web. This can help you to decide what presentations and poster you might see at the jamboree to help you choose which team you would like to award this prize to. Each team will have one vote. What is it that you liked about the project? What do you think is particularly important in producing an iGEM project and how does the team you’ve chosen demonstrate this?

You will be given a voting ballot and instructions for how to vote in your team box when you check in at Registration.

wiki freeze

Wiki freeze icon

The 2010 iGEM wiki will FREEZE on October 27 at 11:59pm EDT. Please DO NOT wait until the last minute to add information to your team wiki pages. There will be increased traffic to the iGEM server in the following days. In 2009, there was a high load placed on the wiki server and teams had difficulties adding information in the last several hours before the deadline.

To avoid situations like that, please begin finalizing and uploading the necessary information to your wikis as soon as possible. If your team's information is not on the wiki by 11:59pm EDT on October 27 you WILL NOT be able to add any more information.

iGEM community collaborations

iGEM Community

Want to help out your fellow iGEM participants? Take a look at the community collaborations page for iGEM teams. We'll be listing team projects that want to get in touch with iGEM participants in order to survey, receive input, collaborate, or work on other community-based projects. You may find a project where you'd like to lend a hand.

If your team has a project that could use the help of the community, send us an email with a short description and contact info. We'll add your project's details to the list.

wiki hosting

Wiki freeze icon

The 2010 iGEM wiki will FREEZE on October 27 at 11:59pm EDT. As a reminder, all team wiki data must be hosted on 2010.igem.org. Team wikis on openwetware, university, or independent websites will not be considered in judging. If you are currently using a separate host for your wiki, please move over all information to your team wiki on 2010.igem.org.
