Weekly Lab Notebook
July 25 – July 31
Colin -
Jeremy - This week I debugged the code I wrote last week, as well as working to install new software on the new server, including the LAMP server package. The server needs a whole suite of software, including python 2.6, biopython, cairo, rsvg, scipy, and numpy.
Anna - Continued working on the COBRA script, and did a lot of MATLAB tutorials. This gave me a strong base to be able to write a code to automate the COBRA process. I also learned a bit about coding. I learned PyMat can be used with python to run MATLAB and thus also run COBRA. We will stick with the dynamic Flux Balance analysis not MOMA or lMOMA. Look into the Flux Variable analysis as well. We have fixed the stoichiometeric matrix so that it can better work with COBRA. We did some fundraising this involved grilling and discussed ideas for the fall semester and fundraising then. The July newsletter came out this week!!
