Today, we observed the plates where the R0040 GFP construct was added into competent cells under UV light. The plates had large quantities of growth only on plates containing ampicilin. No growth was observed on plates containing kanamycin. We grew them on both types of antibiotics because we were unsure of the antibiotic resistance that the R0040 GFP construct contained.
