The genomikon kit was created for the high school learning environment. As such there were a number design challenges that needed to be overcome. Specifically the high school lacks sterilization equipment and laboratory machinery. These issues are solved by sending all parts that must be sterile, sterile. Further the biobyte assembly method only requires a hotplate to complete all the experiments created at www.genomikon.com
