Complimentary to the GENOMIKON kit is an online lab manual and interactive plasmid design tool, found at [http://www.genomikon.ca GENOMIKON.ca.] This website contains pre-made experiments, encyclopedia articles explaining various topics in biology, and an integrated glossary.
Students can also use the interactive plasmid design tool to create their own experiments. When a student designs their own plasmid, a protocol is automatically generated for the laboratory. Furthermore, experiments can be published so that other students can try them.
