Bring SynBio to the High School Classroom
BioBytes 2.0 is the basis of GENOMIKON the educational toolkit for the high school classroom. The kit contains all the tools, media, reagents and BioBytes needed for a classroom's worth of experiments.
The GENOMIKON kit overcomes a number of design challenges. Specifically, the high school lacks sterilization equipment and laboratory machinery. These issues are solved by sending all parts that must be sterile pre-sterilized. The BioBytes 2.0 assembly method fortunately does not require laboratory machinery.
A hotplate is all that is needed to complete all the experiments you find at [http://www.genomikon.ca GENOMIKON.ca].
