Perception
During our iGEM project we tried to analyse, assess and improve the relationship between society and synthetic biology. By doing so, our team hopes to improves the way in which SynBio meets the expectations and needs of society.
First we conducted a literature research on the ethics of synthetic biology and analyzed the general public opinion on Synthetic Biology.
In addition we are concerned with the future of research in genomics in view of intellectual property. The iGEM competition has an unique approach to this matter. Which is why we shared this philosophy in an upcoming documentary: Who Owns You.
