Two colonies, one of CpxR+I13504 and one of Cpxr+I13507, were sent down for sequencing this week as a final verification. Sequencing results showed that these two parts had been successfully constructed.
Alex and I also recorded the first podcast in the University of Calgary's series of Ethics podcasts. We discussed Synthetic Life and aim to educate the public about much of the controversy surrounding Craig Ventor's 'creation' of a synthetic bacterium.
