Stefan de Kok

I am a PhD student working on metabolic engineering of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker's yeast). Like most iGEM-students, I studied Life Science & Technology (TU Delft & Leiden University). After I finished my masters, I started a PhD at TU Delft in the Industrial Microbiology Section. My project focuses on lactic acid production with baker's yeast. Therefore, I am building and analyzing new plasmid & strains every day. With this experience, I will help the iGEM team to reach their goals!
