We have: | |
Had a fantastic summer, learnt loads and formed new friendships.
Ran a series of Synthetic Biology School Workshops, and provided tools for others to follow suit.
Contributed the PyrD and AmyE vectors to the registry and have used Dif excision to remove antibiotic resistance genes from our cassettes.
Tackled the problem of Neglected Tropical Diseases for the first time in the iGEM competition.
Characterized XylE. | |
Designed a software tool for protease detection and protein presentation on the surface of B. subtilis.
Submitted a fantastic natural BioBrick Part, the LytC CWBD.
Submitted two great novel engineered BioBrick parts; GFP-XylE and the enhanced LacI promoter.
Characterized the operation of the new BioBrick part GFP-XylE.
Based our specifications on modelling and human practices.
Characterised modules in both B. subtilis and E. Coli.
Managed to get loads of experimental measurements!
Helped three iGEM teams (Warsaw, UNAM-Mexico and METU-Turkey) by completing their surveys.
Based our design on computer modelling. Modelling has enabled us to decide which ideas should be implemented in our design.
Completed the whole iteration through the engineering cycle for each module of our system. |
