Who we are
We are the proud representatives of the Technical University Munich.
Don't get irritated by the term "Technical University" - we are a full university only focusing on science and engineering and are as good as any of you :)
While Munich may be mostly known for its beautiful city and the Oktoberfest (we call it "Wiesn"), we would like to help changing the face of Munich from beer drinking capital to a leading city in Synthetic Biology! Of course, we will drink some beer meanwhile...
We are a group of mostly Master Students in their first year, five of us major in Biochemistry, two in Biotechnology, we have one very nice and skilled mathematician and an informatic graduate student for help. This makes us a indisciplinary team with many possibilities.
Most of our work is done at Prof. Simmel's group at the biophysics departement: Thank you very much, E14!
