TEAM ALBERTA

With Biobytes 2.0 as the basis we have developed an educational toolkit for the high school classroom. We have put a great deal of thought and experimentation into the contents of the kit and tried to make it as self sufficient as possible. We have packaged a number of tools with the kit that make it easy to get started. And we have built a large selection of parts using BioBytes and developed several experiments , some even based on past projects from various IGEM teams!

As the GENOMIKON kit was created for the high school learning environment there were a number of design challenges that needed to be overcome. Specifically the high school lacks sterilization equipment and laboratory machinery. These issues are solved by sending all parts that must be sterile pre-sterilized. Along with these concerns there are also other considerations that needed to be addressed which can be found on our kit page.

Just add a hotplate to complete all the experiments you find at [http://www.genomikon.ca GENOMIKON.ca] and anything else you can dream up.

Check out the kit below, it is GENOMIKON. [diagram of kit]
