Collaborations

During the project we have tried to answer and help other teams when requested to. We have been in contact with the other Danish team at the University of southern Denmark (SDU). Both regarding technical issues but also in relation to feedback on presentations posters and social events, this culminated in the organization of the Scandinavian iGEM pre-Conference.

Scandinavian iGEM pre-onference

This culminated in the realization of the first Scandinavian iGEM pre-conference that took place the 9th of October at DTU. All the Scandinavian teams were invited. The aim was to present the status of the work, practice the presentations and show first draft of the poster to each other. Based on this we held a feed back discussion session where were talked about the projects, what was difficult and what problems should be addressed and what good results should be emphasized.

Unfortunately just before the conference took place the swedish teams resigned, so it only were the Danish teams that attended. We had a constructive day that ended in a dinner and socializing before we went home with new energy and inspiration for our projects.

Both teams will like to express our gratitude to the Department of Systems biology at DTU for sponsoring food during the conference, and setting facilitties to our disposal.
