Alkane degradation
The colonies on which a PCR was performed yesterday grew overnight. 3 ml of these cells was pelleted and stored at -20°C for later plasmid isolation, and 2 ml was used to make a cell bank (stored at -80°C).
iGEM cake
Our supervior Aljoscha has his housewarming party today. We don't want to come empty handed, so we baked him a special iGEM cake.
