Rohini, who is a 4th year and a returning member, is the 2010 team leader of VGEM. As a biomedical engineering student, she is able to apply her knowledge of molecular and cellular biology with an engineer's perspective. At the University, she is the president of the Biomedical Engineering Society and a active member of the volunteer organization Madison House. After graduation, she plans on attending medical school and pursing a career as a family physician. In her free time, Rohini enjoys making her own hand-crafted jewelry and playing basketball.

She is a recent member of the VGEM team, offering skills in protocol design, data analysis, as well as computer modeling and simulation. She has research experience in polymer synthesis and cellulosic biofuel. Yong loves going to Charlottesville's farmer's market, and in her free time, enjoys cooking.
Arjun Athreya
Delusions of Grandeur. Nope. Arjun's (Junebug's/Juny's) professional debut on the VGEM team was met with more than positive acclaim. Some called it a Tour de Force. For others it was much more. Catapulting himself into the synthetic biology spotlight was hardly an achievement in the eyes of this manipulative fiend. His sharp intuition and his deep understanding of fire have allowed him to develop quite the reputation as a formidable adversary to some of the premiere geneticists of his time. No jest. As only a rising 3rd year with experience in Chemistry and Psychological mind games, stay tuned for more news on this master of mayhem, this conniving culprit, the one, the only, FIREBENDER!!
