Gallery
Browse through our gallery to get a brief impression of all the fun we had and work we did. As you can see iGEM is about much more than just pipetting in a lab. Besides our main topic, enabling alkane degradation in aqueous environments, we spend about the same amount of time on many side projects!
Jamboree
Photo's of the Jamboree will be published here!
Official Team Photos
Alkanivore
During the poster session at the Jamboree we set up an Alkanivore Poster so that everyone who wanted to be photographed as our Alkanivore could! These are the photos that were made.
Workshops on Synthetic Biology
Labwork
Group Outings
World Championship Soccer
Almost everybody in the Netherlands was following this sport event, so we couldn't miss this. We decorated our iGEM room and ourselfs orange (even our international student) to cheer the Dutch team.
Sailing
A number of team members have quite some experience with sailing; and above all find it very enjoyable. No surprise that we went sailing with the team a number of times.
Firework festival
Every year at the beach in Scheveningen there is a firework competition between different countries in the world. We were there to watch this spectacle.
BT Outing: Blijdorp Zoo
Together with the Biotechnology department of our university we went on a group outing to the Blijdorp Zoo.
Science Center Opening
The Science Center in Delft is a brand new museum about science and technology. There is work on display of scientist and students. Ranging from the Nuna Solar race, Spiderman suit to even our iGEM team. On the first of September the museum offically opened. The pictures below so an overview of the Biotechnology Room.

Night of the Nerds @ NEMO
On October 9th a night was organized in the Amsterdam Science Museum NEMO especially for the nerds. Of course the iGEM TU Delft team was present - we did a few interviews with other nerds to see what they knew about synthetic biology and we even interviewed Pierre Wind, a Dutch celebrity molecular chef!
