This stunning image was created in 2002 by members of the Montana State University Bozeman's Center for Biofilm Engineering (CBE) and School of Art, in collaboration with environmental engineering students of Dr. Robert Sharp at the Manhattan College. The organism on the plates is likely to be Vibrio harveyi.
