- This Wednesday (10/26/10) our team will be filmed for the Surrounded by Science Parkland College Television (PCTV) series. The series, sponsored by Parkland’s Institute for Science Education, is designed to promote science and science literacy, to encourage young people to study science, to showcase the science taking place in this community, and to make people aware of the many jobs in science.

- Come out if you're interested in iGEM and synthetic biology!!
- In order to promote the field of synthetic biology, the UIUC-Illinois Bioware team will be presenting at the 2010 Girls Adventures in Mathematics, Engineering, and Science (G.A.M.E.S.) Camp Friday, August 13th. We will discuss what synthetic biology is and lead an interactive activity for middle school girls.
- The drop-down toolbar is finally functional! Check out our team's up-to-date documentation. Expect stylistic changes in the toolbar in the future.
- The UIUC iGEM teams will be selling dippin' dots! Stop by the quad on Friday, July 23rd to support our team and enjoy some delicious ice cream.
- Unfortunately, the volleyball tournament has been delayed due to organizational time constraints. It has been tentatively rescheduled for September 4th. Registrations are still being accepted.
- To help with funding for our trip to the annual iGEM Jamboree, the University of Illinois iGEM teams will be hosting a volleyball tournament on July 17th! There will be an $80 grand prize, and smaller prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. Food will also be available. Contact Meagan to register or for more information.
