  • we took the broth incubated overnight split it into four parts, three with either toluene, benzene, and xylene, and the other with nothing.
  • We let them incubate for a few hours and then tested for fluorescence.
  • All of them were equally fluorescent so we left them to incubate overnight.
  • This means that the promoter might leak.
  • We also transformed the ligations.
