Project

We have placed genes from fireflies into bacteria to create the brightest bacterial light in the registry. We have combined this with an RNA-based control system for the induction of quiescence in bacteria to make the system brighter still.

The Team

We are an interdisplinary team made up of geneticists, engineers, a biochemist and a physicist, you can find out more about us on the team page.
