Safety

As a platform technology what will be looked at are the comparitive risks posed, which play an important factor in the decision to adopt or not to adopt the particular platform.

Understanding the risks posed by the system used as intended, or as unintended, and means of controlling these risks are essential. This includes security risks, as to fully measure the risk associated with the adoption of applications of synthetic biology requires including the human practises associated with use of the technology.

Currently this page is under construction. The hope is to answer the safety questions and provide a resource which can be used for future teams/ synthetic biologists in evaluating questions of safety as well as human practises.
