You are provided with this team page template with which to start the iGEM season. You may choose to personalize it to fit your team but keep the same "look." Or you may choose to take your team wiki to a different level and design your own wiki. You can find some examples HERE.

You can write a background of your team here. Give us a background of your team, the members, etc. Or tell us more about something of your choosing.

Artificial biomanufacturing intelligence system ABIS

Synthetic biology is now in a position to overcome many, hitherto, cumbersome and resource consuming manufactuirng tasks. Society has now accepted the advent of such entities as recombinant insulin , monoclonal antibodies etc as essential for the future well being of human life. We can now use the bio engineered tools available to us to create systems which make manufacturing health or environmentally associated products simpler and more economical.

To this end, this project addresses the hypothesis that we can use auto-induction as means of control of production recombinant products at pre-destined time in large production vessels thus alleviating the need for extra resources. To illustrate this we are using E.coli as our main vehicle with the prospect of removing the need for IPTG induction as mechanism for the production a vast array of biopharmaceuticals. We expect this technology to be equally applicable to other systems such as yeast and mammalian cells.)
