Clotho is a software tool for synthetic biologists started by the UC Berkeley iGEM team of 2008. The goal of our project to provide an open framework for developing software tools useful for synthetic biology. Over the last two years, Clotho has undergone many iterations of development, each time adding new features and improving the overall usability and stability of the tool. The original goal of the Clotho project was to provide a sophisticated software tool to aid synthetic biologists in their work.
This summer we are proud to release Clotho 2.0, featuring the robust Netbeans plugin platform, a reworked framework for automating workflows, as well as a shift from dynamic data models to a static Clotho data model.
You can download Clotho 2.0 at our new public website, where you will also find much more detailed documentation about our tool.
