CleaningAfter all the media attention, we had a nice slow day. We finished some small experiments and reorganized our iGEM room. We hide all the stuff from last years team in a closet so now our room is nice and tidy. We also booked a hotel in Boston! Lab workEmulsifierPieter worked on the emulsifying activity assay. Four samples were tested: 1. Mix, 0.02 mL of substrate, 0.1- 0.5 mL of sample.
2. Tris buffer (pH 8) was added to a total volume of 7.5 ml. 3. Shake 1 hour with 200 strokes/min at 30°C 4. Measure absorbance OD600
BiobricksBy Hugo I've got some colonies in the plates, however there's contamination with some yellow colonies :s Probably, we will have to prepare a new stock of competent cells. Return to the calendar |
