Preliminary project description :
Inducible systems are used every day in labs, but chemical inducers have some limitations :
-Delayed induction (certain time between adding the chemical and seeing the result)
-Interference with host metabolism
-Only one way induction (once we add the chemical we cannot remove it)
-Chemicals are expensive
-Not always available
The aim of the ESBS-Strasbourg team is to create a “light controllable specific protein degradation system”, which will overpass the classical chemical induction limitations:
-Instant induction (no transcription and translation needed…)
-No interference with host metabolism
-Controllable (On/Off)
-Cheap
-Always available
You can write a background of your team here. Give us a background of your team, the members, etc. Or tell us more about something of your choosing.
Tell us more about your project. Give us background. Use this as the abstract of your project. Be descriptive but concise (1-2 paragraphs)
