"What Is Fear Of Need But Need Itself"- Week 13

Monday 20th September

Omar, our champion of champions was out with a knee injury. Being the champion that he is, he spent his weekend writing to companies for sponsorship.

Conclusion: It is such a bad time to ask companies for money!

Tuesday 21st September

Even with an injured knee, Omar still came in on crutches. Seriously, if there were to be an award for motivation we would have that in the bag. Usual lab work, and paper work. The whole sponsorship issue is getting a bit annoying, but it'll work itself out.

Wednesday 22nd September

Thursday 23rd September

Today we carried out a transformation.

Friday 24th September

In labs, we prepared the LB agar and placed it in the autoclave. WE also autoclaved 4 1 litre flasks.

-ARIF TO THE RESCUE!!! Due to various reasons, only Arif could make it into labs today, and being the spartan champion that he is, he managed to sucessfully transform to vital parts, essential for us to carry into our fermentation session.

-Today was the UCL open day for undergraduates, and this was a great chance for us to really let people know about iGEM and specifically about our work. We managed to interview many, and get their opinions on various aspects of our projects to see where improvements could potentially be made.
