Gel of the construct directly after the assembly process. The gel was overexposed so that the failed constructs could be seen. Lane 3 is the construction of an 8-byte construct. Constructs that failed at some point in the construction process show up as intermediate bands. In this case, the odd numbered bytes were 976 kb long, and the even numbered bytes were 2083 kb long.
