Adam Bower is currently a Chemical and Life Science Engineering senior at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a special events coordinator for the department and is actively involved in the School of Engineering. He hopes to pursue his Ph.D. next year. He is interested in researching in bioreactor design, synthetic biology and biochemical reactions.

Maria McClintock is a senior in Chemical and Life Science Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a member of Tau Beta Pi and plans on pursuing a Ph.D. Her current research interests are synthetic biology, biochemical reactions and micro reactors.

Marta A. Eborall, Ph.D.
Dr. Eborall earned her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees at Virginia Tech. She is currently a Professor of Biology at Bluefield State College in West Virginia, instructing a diversity of classes including Microbiology. She participated in a RET in synthetic biology at Virginia Bioinformatics Institute, during which she worked with Virginia Tech’s 2007 iGEM team. Her experience as faculty advisor for the 2010 Virginia United iGEM team has been very rewarding.

Priscilla Amoah is a Virginia State University senior. She grew up in Ghana until 2006, when she moved to the United States to attend college. She’s a Biology/Pre-Med major and will be graduating in May 2011. She is very much interested in research and is currently considering an MD/PhD program while in medical school. She loves writing and has, in the past, considered being a novelist.

Karis Childs is a senior Biology major attending Virginia State University. She is originally from Yorktown, VA. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and playing the piano and violin.
