iGEM is one of these interests and I see this project as a great way to gain skills, meet you guys and broaden my horizon for future career choices. With this being the main reason for me not to be spending my time chillin', maxin' and relaxin' all cool at my home beach this summer, working my butt off in the lab, it's nice to know that one of the criterea for the gold medal is having fun ;). We can tick off that box already.

Besides being a member of this year's iGEM team I'm also in a committee that together with the University organizes a studytour for masterstudents in the course 'Orientation on Scientific Careers' and I've been assisting for a course on ethics, science and society this year. Things I've learned in these functions will help me contribute to our project, of which I'm sure that it will be a great success.

Hi there,

My name is Peter Roemers. Right now I'm studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of Groningen with a special interest in to many things.

iGEM is one of these interests and I see this project as a great way to gain skills, meet you guys and broaden my horizon for future career choices. With this being the main reason for me not to be spending my time chillin', maxin' and relaxin' all cool at my home beach this summer, but to working my butt off in the lab, it's nice to know that one of the criterea for the gold medal is having fun, we can tick off that box already.

Besides being a member of this year's iGEM team I'm also in a committee that together with the University organizes a studytour for masterstudents in the course 'Orientation on Scientific Careers' and I've been assisting for a course on ethics, science and society this year.

See you in Boston!
