Safety for Society

During our iGEM project we tried to analyse, assess and improve the relationship between society and synthetic biology. By doing so, our team hopes to improves the way in which SynBio meets the expectations and needs of society.

On our Education page you can read a report on how we contributed to teaching biotechnology. We worked together with the Rathenau Institute (Dutch national research and debate institute on science and technology) in organizing workshops for high school teachers.

At the same time we conducted a literature research on the ethics of synthetic biology.
