   Introduction

introduction

The biosafety issue has been an everlasting topic for people to discuss about, and scientists emphasize special necessities in synthetic biology area. With the improvement of SB, there’re increasing projects and achievements in many countries all around the world to research the safety and ethical aspects of synthetic biology [1]. But no doubt that gene horizontal transfer, among all bio-safety issues, has proactively stimulated much more debates on these issues. As a developing country like China, the situation could be particularly different from those nations who enjoy high history on scientific research such as gene manipulations. A great many culture gaps can also lead to varies perspectives in terms of gene horizontal transfer. To investigate the domestic situation, we delivered questionnaires of biosafety based on international legislation; interviewed prominent Chinese scientists; tried to find out impressive phenomenon and conclusions through analysis and comparison. More importantly, we proposed some solutions and designs to eliminate the possible consequence of gene transfer. Last but not least, we made cooperation with Paris iGEM team in order to form specific guidelines on related issues, not only adapted our project to safer experiment procedures, but also aiming at contributing to an iGEM competition with more securities and less risks.
