  • Main roles in iGem team: Researching into a kill switch so bacteria don't disrupt the structure of the crack once it has been repaired. I have done two research projects before and have lots of experience of working on teams of this size.

Currently studying Biomedical Sciences in Newcastle University as a second year student. I'm particularly interested in the different areas of science, but at the same time, I am open and willing to learn new things, and I believe that iGEM provides this great opportunity for me.

I am currently in my second year studying BSc Hons Human Genetics and I am particularly keen on cell cycle and it's regulation. My main hobby is to listen music and watch documentaries on TV. I have an urge to learn new things and give everything a different perspective. With iGEM I can widen the spectrum of my skills and can learn new techniques. My main role in the team is to do research on the genetics of B. subtilis.
