    Project Description

Imsi.jpg

We have developed simple and effective tuberculosis antigen detecting method with modified antibody in yeast. Our project is based on FGFR-STAT1 pathway which is in human. We added fusion antibody and GFP to decide existence of antigen. In other words, this yeast emits light when antigen is attached.
Tuberculosis is one of the most deadly disease which has taken lots of people's lives since the history of mankind. It is true that tuberculosis is rarely detected in a developed country, but still it is prevalent in a developing country. So, accurate and rapid tuberculosis diagnosis method has been always demanded.
Furthermore we expect our project can be applied to diagnosis of other diseases such as malaria or cancer through simply changing antibody. Lastly, we sure that our project can be a new way of diagnosis and used for eradication of disease in developing countries.
