In terms of dry work, we discussed what we wanted to have synthesised.  We decided to dismiss PPDK (Pyruvate Orthophosphate Dikinase) and to include the Japanese firefly (<i>Luciola cruciata</i>) because of the ease with which we could change the colour of its emission.
