Preliminary description

The Cambridge team has been brainstorming ideas. We have narrowed our ideas down to four topic areas:

• Bioluminescence
• Implementing an ELISA-like diagnostic test in bacteria
• Turing patterns
• Quiescence in Bacillus or E. coli

We intend shortly to settle on one of these ideas and to produce biobricks and proof-of-concept systems, then measure and characterise them.
