Parts assembly
No growth of colonies from the plating done on 13.09.2010. Ligation did not work. This might have been due to the inefficiency of the XbaI restriction enzyme in DH5 alpha cells (competent cells used during transformation).
Fusion Protein
A Miniprep and glycerol stocks from the overnight cultures were prepared. A control digest to varify the correct insert was carried out. Unfortunatley not enough DNA was used to confirm the insertion.
