Nadine Bongaerts

I first heard of iGEM during the time I just started with my academic career. At that time, it immediately excited me and I was determined to ever participate. And now, it finally happened!

I think iGEM is a unique opportunity to learn about science, experience new things, meet other people and work in a team, all at the same time. Working in iGEM also gave me the possibility to carry out my passion for education by developing a serious game about synthetic biology in cooperation with students from computer science and the Science Cente Delft. Furthermore I enjoy singing in the iJAM band, cooking, dancing and eating homemade cakes from Eva.

As the USA is a unexplored territory for me, I’m extremely excited to go to Boston!
