Glycerol (Freezer) Stocks
Materials
- 0.5mL overnight LB culture
- 0.5mL 50% glycerol (sterile)
- Cryotube or 1.5mL Eppendorff
- Dry ice/ethanol or LN2
Procedure
- Mix overnight cell culture with equal parts 50% glycerol solution in cryotube.
- Label and add to dry ice/ethanol bath.
- Freeze for 10 minutes. Store at -80°C.
